Copying a search profile
If you need to create a search profile with settings similar to an existing profile, you can copy that profile. Copying a search profile lets you create a new profile that replicates some of the settings and information associated with the existing profile. Copying a profile replicates most basic profile settings, as well as other elements found in the profile:
•
selected search targets |
•
search box configuration |
•
enabled pickup libraries |
•
My Account configuration |
•
Advanced Search configuration |
•
room taxonomy, including room visibility and room availability |
•
Home Room content and layout |
Copying a profile does not copy the Code, Profile URL, or assigned IP address ranges. You must provide a unique Code and Profile URL when you copy a profile, and you can set up specific IP address ranges that you want to direct to the copied search profile before you save the search profile. If the original profile included rooms that included assets, the assets would not be included in the copied profile. To include the assets in the copied profile, go to Rooms, choose the copied profile, then go to each room that included assets and set up the association to the assets. For more information, see Adding assets to a room.
When you copy an existing profile, you must modify some values before you can save the copied profile. These fields must be unique to each profile and are highlighted for easier reference. Once you change the values for these unique fields, you can save the copied profile.
